We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrician (solar experience preferred) to join our dynamic team in Pretoria East. The right candidate will be essential in supporting our continued growth and commitment to providing superior solar power solutions to our customers, both residential and industrial.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform solar panel installations at both residential and industrial sites, ensuring safety, quality, and compliance with all relevant codes and regulations.
- Utilize your expertise to troubleshoot and repair system components and electrical equipment, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum system efficiency.
- Evaluate systems' performance and efficiency, providing regular maintenance and suggesting improvements where necessary.
- Use computer software to prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates and quotations for potential customers.
- Communicate effectively with clients, explaining complex technical concepts in a clear and understandable way to non-technical individuals.
- Work alongside the sales and customer service teams to ensure our clients have a positive experience, from the initial quote through installation and follow-up.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements and trends in the solar power industry to continually improve your skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
- At least 5 years of experience as an electrician
- Solar power installation field experience will be an advantage
- High School (matric) (Required)
- Valid electrician's license / wireman's license with the necessary qualifications to issue compliance certificates for both single & three phase power.
- Excellent knowledge of current solar installation techniques, equipment, and safety protocols.
- Must possess a valid driver's license.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Demonstrable problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
- Good physical condition and endurance, capable of working at heights and in various weather conditions.
- Must be committed to continuing education to maintain licensure and stay updated with the latest advancements in the solar power industry.
